MEET THE TEAM

LORRI

Having spent almost thirty years in the industry, Lorri, the owner / operator has an eye for perfection. Extremely detail oriented, there is nothing that gets past her. Noted on the About Us page, Lorri opened Marquis Designs, realizing the value of hands-on when it comes to fabrics as well as her ability to communicate between designer and workroom, solving the many challenges. Lorri, known as “The Pillow Queen” loves pillows! One of her greatest pleasures is when every stripe and pattern is matched to perfection. Having worked with designers and clients for many years, there isn’t much she doesn’t know and has successfully serviced the South Florida area since 1991.

DARIN

Darin is our Operations Manager and does everything from assisting clients with window treatments, employees with questions, and the overall daily operation. Having grown up in the industry, Darin decided to take the plunge and join the team in 2016. Realizing very quickly just how much there is to learn, she continues to absorb new information everyday. Darin loves helping clients bring their visions to life, discussing details and providing knowledgeable insight to their window treatment needs.

WILLIAM

Will is our workroom manager who can do it all!!! He oversees the day to day manufacturing of window treatments, pillows, custom ottomans and much more. If there is every a complex window treatment, Will is happy to brainstorm, make patterns, and figure out a solution to the ever intricate creations we produce. Will went to school for fashion design. We never know what costume or fun creation we will be waiting for us! It is hard to believe he joined us in 2010! We could not be more proud to have Will leading the charge in the workroom.

KAREN

Karen has always been in the creative world of color and design! Karen is our resident designer and loves working with clients and designers. From Connecticut, Karen worked at Calico Corners as an in home consultant for eight years where she really gained an understanding of window interiors. In 2013 she moved to Florida and found Marquis in 2016! Karen is an expert with color and says she loves working in this business because she rarely does the same thing twice. Karen prides herself on making clients happy in their home and providing a beautiful end result.

YANELIS

Yanelis is our senior seamstress and has really grown since starting at Marquis Designs in 2016! Yanelis can beautifully match patterns. There isn’t much she can’t do. She says her favorite treatments to make are valances as they are the most challenging and are always different.

MIRTA

Mirta is Marquis’ longest employee, having been here since 2008. Mirta is an expert in her craft and enjoys making draperies more than anything. “Nothing makes me happier than seeing photos of my work hanging in the client’s home.”

KAY

Meet our resident greeter, Kay. She is always there with a smile on her face to welcome you into the showroom. Kay is a skilled seamstress and an expert finisher who has been with Marquis since 2013.

ISEL

Isel joined the team in 2019 and excels in draperies, pillows, roman shades and much more.

VINCE

Vince came aboard in 2021 and we don’t know what we would do without him! He keeps the workroom organized and is an expert with repairs! He is always happy to lend a hand to all of us who ask!

MAITE

Maite has been with Marquis since 2021, sewing rings on Roman Shades. Since then she has learned how to make draperies and much more!
